Director of the Art Design Department of Shanghai College of Science and Engineering, member of Chinese Fine Artists' Association, member of Shanghai Fine Artists' Association, and vice-president of Shanghai Watercolor Research Society.

Mr. Chen has been teaching for more than 30 years, had made contributions to the watercolor creation and education. In 1989, he gave lecture and held a personal watercolor exhibition in New Zealand. Organizations and collectors at home and overseas including United States, Korea, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia welcomed his art works.
