Graduated from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 1986, then enrolled postgraduate study in 1986 at the same institute. Currently he is holding teaching position at Wuhan Science and Technology Institute, member of committee of Watercolor of Hubei Fine Artists' Association, member of China Artists' Association (Hubei branch), and secretary-general of Hubei Watercolor Research Society.
