My recent trip to China compelled me to search for a place to study Chinese painting here in New York. This began my inner journey to a place of calm and quiet intensity. Unlike western style painting, the completion of a simple thought, flower, or scene in Chinese painting focuses all the senses in a more peaceful and complete experience, providing a satisfaction unlike any other artistic expression. I hope to continue my studies with Professor Gan Yu, and this enriching and rewarding experience.
